This portion is ridiculously generous for a lunch special. I had enough for two meals. Bursting with flavor, seriously chunky meaty sauce, and the pasta had the perfect bite. Exceeded my expectations.

The Pappardelle Funghi was bland and despite the fact the description saying truffle oil, there was no taste of truffle. It was like a stew and really lacked the flavor you would think it would have for all of the ingredients listed. The Green Kale Fusilli was better than the Pappardelle Funghi in that it had much more flavor, but the goat cheese completely overpowered the dish. The restaurant does not allow you to make any special requests whatsoever. The description of the pesto fussili did not mention that there was other cheese in the dish, so I was hesitant to remove the goat cheese (however there was a lot of other melted cheese in the dish on top of the goat cheese).
The amount of cheese provided in the Bufula Caprese for $15 was not great but there were a lot of tomatoes, which was nice.
My biggest complaint about the restaurant though is they don't allow any comments or requests of any kind. For ordering two pastas and Caprese for $75, it would've been really nice to be able to say something simple like "please include Parmesan cheese" or something really basic like that. I would've requested to substitute out the goat cheese for example for Parmesan. I have no problem paying for good pasta, I just didn't love this place.
It was well packaged though, and the order was not delayed.

The focaccia was outstanding - fresh and a sold portion. The Green Kale Fusilli was quite flavorful and well made, just far too rich for me. I would order from them again.

Good sized portions, and incredible food. Made it all the way across town and still hot! The Octopus Salad was so good, octopus flavored so well. The desserts were decadent. Incredible takeout experience!

The Lunch Special combines quality with affordability. Getting a salad, a main pasta, AND a canola for the price is unbeatable. The beef ragu was perfectly seasoned and the texture of the pasta was divine. The salad was hand made and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. The canoli was amazing; it's like if you combined cookies and cream with pistachios in finger food form. It's refreshing to see a restaurant with passion and good portions.
