The picture doesn't do it justice, the slice of Strawberry Cake I got is MASSIVE. It's the biggest, the largest slice actually. And the CABBAGE container my kitten is smelling is already empty. This is the only place in Arlington that makes homestyle cabbage this good, I wish they sold it in bulk.

I ordered the rib tip plate for the first time today, it was absolutely delicious. the rib tips were perfect, the cabbage was seasoned very well the macaroni and cheese was good and creamy and the cornbread pretty good too.. packaging was very sustainable the food was still piping hot upon arrival!

Recently had the Beef Tips W/Rice Plate which was decent however the sides were really mid from good to blah Yams, Dirty rice (to moist/saucy), Collards( too many stems), mac & cheese ( what in the watery cheese sauce noodle?) The $12 Catfish(1) Special w/drink was okay but tiny portion of fish it was not filling nor was it hot. Wouldn't order again tbh DJs soul food has better portions & is fresh sad they close earlier than most.

This is soul food right here, for the price it's amazing quality. The rib tips were flavorful and tender, the sides were delicious too. 1000% recommend

The Meat Loaf Plate was not good. The packaging was nice. Everything was kept inside the clamshell box it was delivered in. My Bottled Sprite was inside the sealed bag so I do appreciate that. However, the meatloaf portion size is disappointing. It's the same size as the cornbread. It has a very unique taste. Very salty to me. Not a hint of sweetness the glaze usually supplies. The sauce was more like a tomato paste type of sauce than a typical brown sugar ketchup mix. Not a fan. The greens have a nice smokiness but the actual flavor isn't my preference. They honestly tasted a little burnt. The macaroni was creamy with a nicer flavor from the plate. I don't know that it is necessarily good, just the best thing on the plate. The cornbread was good but dry.
I definitely wouldn't order this again.
