I stopped ordering from E&J a few years ago since the quality of their ribs had really gone downhill. I decided to give them another try tonight however and boy am I ever so glad I did. First off the lunch size rib plate is a perfect size meal for me. Although I ordered it at 7 pm I really couldn't eat the whole meal. I think I got 5 delicious, juicy ribs , some potato salad and 2 slices of whole wheat bread. The ribs were cooked to perfection and the barbecue sauce (mild) was perfect for me. Also perfect was the $23 price tag which I found to be more than fair. I'd say I got great value but could have ordered the $36 dinner meal that comes with 2 sides and cornbread. I can't even imagine eating any more than what I got and I couldn't even eat all of my lunch size! I'm glad someone in the kitchen took my complaints seriously last couple of times I ordered. It was obvious that someone paid attention and good ole Evrette & Jones on MacArthur is back and ready to blow your socks off! Thanks so much. I will be back again soon.

I ordered the smoked chicken dinner without sauce. It was delicious and very tender. The cornbread was good and corn very tasty. However they forgot to include the sweet potato fries in my order. I would've like to taste the fries. Overall the dinner was good and large portion of chicken..

OMG! The 3. Rib & Brisket were on point! The greens were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Even the potato salad was delicious tonight. The Baked Beans were tender, but a little too sweet. Portions were healthy! Everything tasted freshly cooked. I will definitely order again.
