In Prince George, our story begins.
We are a Chinese restaurant with Japanese cuisine. We are quite pleased with the residents who enjoy getting together with friends in a restaurant, ordering a table…
Absolutely the only place to eat Chinese food in Prince George, the food is excellent!
Beautiful fresh large pieces of vegetables in the dishes that come with them, lots of meat in the dishes, that's flavourful and tender.
Home run!

I ordered sushi from 3 places this new years, and this one was honestly the highlight of the day. It's a bit pricy for what it is, compared to Vancouver prices, but the quality of the sushi is not bad, and frankly, some Asian restaurants in the city are an absolute joke compared to this place.
I've got to take a moment to comment on the name of the restaurant, because it amuses me. It's really easy to call yourself "Good Chef" when you don't have much competition. "Reasonably Competent" would have been a perfectly fit qualifier as well. The wontons in the wonton soup were big, nothing particularly standout about them. Kind of disappointing that they didn't have shrimp in them. 90% of Chinese restaurants in Vancouver add shrimp to their wontons, which adds a lot of flavor (it's the easy thing to do).
Again, 23 bucks for a 1 person soup: it's really not good value for what it is. I'd order the sushi again. Wonton soup is my number one favorite. If it was AMAZING I'd pay the 23 bucks again, but I found it a bit disappointing. There are a couple hole in the wall places in Vancouver, where for a 12 dollar wonton soup, you can't even believe how good it is.

The Chicken Teriyaki Box #2 was awful. Everything was wet and the portion was very small for 30$. The fish was past it's prime for sure.
Go to PG sushi. Way more for less and the quality is much much better.

I ordered the real crab sashimi, Gyozas and Curry Sauce. The real sashimi comes with literally one piece so fyi order multiple pieces. Theyre very large though and crazy good! The curry sauce was clearly house made and not overly spicy it was amazing! And the gyozas were fantastic too! It would be nice to see this restaurant offer spicy mayo as a side order since they offer sushi. Just a suggestion.

Sauces were liquidy. Deep fried wontons were.... thick. On the plus side, almond chicken actually had the sauce with it, as well as the bits of almonds. It was decent. For the price. Meh.
