H&F consistently makes a great burger. I have enjoyed them many times when dining at the food hall at Ponce City Market. I was very excited to see them on DoorDash. That being said, the food doesn't travel well. You pay a premium for the quality, but it falls devastatingly short as take out.
Packaging hot and cold items separately is food service 101. I ordered a salad and it was packaged with my other hot items so it was a wilted, hot soggy mess when it arrived.
It's a simple fix to package warm proteins separately if they are added to a salad or to use a more substantial packaging material. The salad container melted from the heat.
I was excited about the rodeo burger. But it also arrived soggy. The "crispy" onions were a ball of mush under the pickles and BBQ sauce.
The beer battered onion rings were also under seasoned and gummy. Popping them in the air fryer for a second revived them slightly. The flavor of the batter tastes like very bland hush puppies.
Personally, not my thing- but someone may like it.
I also paid for condiments I did not receive. Honey Mustard and Ranch. They were on the expo ticket- they just somehow didn't make it into my bag full of mush.
The only thing that I enjoyed was the chocolate malted milkshake. 10/10! The only feedback is that there wasn't enough of it. It was a splurge at the price point for just 12oz. I'm glad it didn't disappoint.
I would try H&F again in person, but I will never order it through DoorDash again. (And...yes, I paid for express delivery and the Dasher used insulated bags). This was absolutely a total waste of money. I'll know better for next time.

This was the first drink delivery by Doordash that was not sealed.
