Located just south of Broad Ripple along the Monon, Half Liter is a Texas-style BBQ joint with house-made beers, a deep whiskey list, and a professionally assembled bar program. We offer family and 2…
I got the one meat platter with brisket, fried biscuits and apple butter, baked beans, and the golden bbq sauce. The portions are generous.
The brisket with the golden bbq sauce was super good and the fried biscuits were amazing.
Next time I wouldn't get the baked beans, I mostly tasted tomato and didn't really like them.
However, everything was packaged well and I can't wait to try this place again (minus the baked beans).

Very filling and good portion sizes.
I was mainly looking for a bbq burger tonight and while this Half Liter Cheeseburger doesn't come with it, the store offers a great deal of sauces to choose from! Though without item descriptions it's hard to really tell what tastes like what, I tried two here and they were both not sweet enough and way too spicy. The burger bun also had an unexpected look but it definitely did not hurt the taste. I got a biscuit dessert as a side with the meal and I loved it a lot!! Great mix of a crunch/soft dessert and the dip was super fun to try that I ran out lol.
The spicy dip went well with the 1 Meat Combo Platter which I got a sausage for, they are very tasty!
The Buffalo Trace Bread Pudding was mildly sweet and very soft but has a great dipping sauce to go with it!

I feel like restaurants don't take the same care for their carry out and delivery customers as they do for their dining patrons. I have eaten at Half Liter before and it was decent. This was my first time ordering through DoorDash. It will also be my last. The first thing I noticed was they forgot to include the barbecue sauce with my brisket. The brisket was very dry with little flavor. The cornbread was soggy on the bottom. The butter did not leak (I checked) so the cause is a mystery. I have not tried the cornbread strawberry shortcake yet, but it looks like it is a hot mess. Overall, very disappointing and not worth the $30 that I spent on this meal.

The food arrived cold. The fries were over cooked, and there's so much oil in them I could pinch it out. The pulled pork and brisket were too salty. The bread helped with that, but the meat shouldn't have had to rely on it. The biscuits were good with the sauce. The best part of the meal was the bread pudding. It was good. It was my first time trying this place out, and I thought it would be good because I see people there all the time, but I clearly did not have the same quality food they've had. The food's not tasty enough for me to want to eat it, I just will eat it because I'm hungry.

There are some great BBQ places in Indy and this place misses the mark for me. I would not order again. The meats (brisket and pulled pork) were on the dry side, for sure. The brisket was very pepppery but would have been better if there was a decent sauce. The mustard bbq sauce was ok (tasted pretty much exactly like hot mustard sauce for your chicken nuggets from McDonald's) but the Texas bbq sauce was strange... I can't put my finger on it, but it was giving salsa or pasta sauce. The Mac and cheese was creamy (if you look at the picture you pretty much understand what it's going to taste like) but is definitely not a baked mac and cheese. The potato salad was just ok. The green beans tastes overwhelmingly of red wine vinegar. Really disappointing. I just threw them out. Overall, there are much better bbq options.
