I love this place. The Margherita pizza is really fresh with the most perfect, velvety tomato base I've had outside of Brooklyn, and luscious cheese. I recommend adding the buffala - if you're having pizza for dinner you may as well double down on the delicious.
A lot of similar places around Perth look good but tend towards overcooking the pizzas so you end up with the wrong texture and unable to taste anything other than charcoal. The only negative with Il Locale is the type of pies they make don't travel that well. They get cold fast and with cooling comes that weird reversal when the dough becomes increasingly soggy and the cheese increasingly firm. I'm only 6 minutes from the restaurant and it's still a thing. I should get off my butt and go sit in the restaurant (totally offers good vibes) but when I just *can't* I am still delighted with my pizza even if the 'middle pizza zone' ingredients have all traded consistencies.
The only reason I gave the Piggy a thumbs down is my partner said he didn't like the meat or soggy middle. To which I say he should have ordered a Margherita and appreciated that he doesn't have to get off the couch. You can't please everyone. But I'm delighted he's being precious - more leftovers for me. Hooray!

Capricciosa was way too salty, tomato base was so bitter and not enjoyable at all for $29... Margherita was ok, but such a disappointment compared to their pizzas in the past.

The Vegan Baby Pizza was great, with good quality ingredients, good size and excellent dough. It was pleasant, but not super flavoursome, and probably would have been a bit better with some fresh basil (which I would have expected as standard), dried tomatoes or olives etc. I will order again, but next time I'll add a few toppings -- especially fresh basil.
