The food was so fye!!!! I was rocking and shaking my head in approval the whole time I indulged. The oxtails were massive compared to store bought. They were tenderrrrr and the flavor was all that I had hoped for! The yams were perfect in size, color, spice and light sweetness. The gravy on the rice was clearly made from the juices of the meat. The cabbage was perfect, like a clean and crisp palate cleanser between bites. When it comes to jerk, I proclaim my utmost loyalty to Irie Jerk Hut! (Forgive my picture if half eaten food. I couldn't contain myself from waiting to snap a pic before diving in).

Ordered my Granny the oxtail lunch , only came with 2 small oxtail. I asked can pay the difference and get the dinner instead . Thinking theyd give me another 2 oxtails at least . They told me I couldn't and that I would have to order another lunch or a dinner . I don't understand why I could'nt pay the 4-5 dollar difference and just get what ended up being 1 more oxtail .. drove on my break to surprise my granny so I just did what I had to do . But ended up 1 rushing back work , 2 paying way more money than I intended to and in the end she said she didn't like the rice , it was dry and lacked flavor and said the yams had way too much allspice . In the second meal I bought macaroni and plantain for the sides.. she said the elbow noodles were soggy but the plaintain was perfect . As for oxtail she said they had so little meat the taste was gone before she swallowed . S/n the oxtail look way bigger in the photo . They were thin with lots of fat and gristle.

All of my food was really good! The flavor was better than what I had in Jamaica. The catfish was really good. I had the lunch portion. I wanted more. The oxtails were more fatty than meaty but they were still good. The Beef Patty was not my favorite. But maybe it will be better if it was fresh. Overall, I will be ordering again.

I absolutely love Irie Jerk Hut. Their Jerk Catfish, cabbage, yams, and sauce are the best! Lately, they have used an extreme amount of vegetables to cover up the small fish sizes. That's disheartening. They don't give the option to say no vegetables. If they could give bigger pieces of fish and less vegetables, they would be perfect.

The food was very disappointing. Nothing was properly cooked—the sweet potatoes were so hard I couldn’t even cut them, clearly undercooked. I also only received three oxtails, whereas other places usually provide four plus a couple of smaller pieces. Overall, I would not order from here again.
