Ordered a grilled Blackened Chicken Sandwich and Caesar Salad (Large) here. The sandwich was perfect, and the salad tasted fantastic, but is unfortunately very, very gritty. I tried individual ingredients to make sure it wasn't from the croutons, cheese, bacon, or even the dressing (which was homemade, and usually an automatic win for me). It was obvious that the romaine lettuce wasn't properly washed, but I wanted to be sure.
And although I am tempted to power through the grit because the salad is so tasty, I am not at all tempted to "power through" a possible bout of listeria (which I am sadly familiar with, and which is incredibly dangerous). Really quite disappointed, as I thought we had hit the jackpot and found a new favorite, local restaurant.
