I caught a video review of their restaurant online and knew I had to try them on my next visit to L.A.. I ordered with my stomach instead of my brain and was so full 3 halved Yubu in, but I didn't care and kept going. The assorted Yubu spared no shortcuts in preparation and was fresh, delicious, hefty in weight, and dare I say, beautiful to the eyes?? I loved them all, but if had to rate a top 4, it would be:
Grilled Bulgogi Yubu 직화불고기 유부 , Mentaiko Crabmeat Yubu 명란게살 유부 , Queen Mermaid Yubu 퀸 머메이드 유부 , and Unagi Avocado Yubu 장어아보카도 유부 . Bonus, they had a 2 for 1 Tuna Mayo Yubu 참치마요 유부 , so of course I added them to the order... creamy and delish! I will definitely revisit on my next trip to L.A., but maybe order less so I'm still able to walk away from the table instead of rolling away 😅. As for those reading this review, order them all!! 😁

The food I ordered from Kingyubu was the best of my life. I tried several different flavors, and the Lemon Salmon Bulgogi was the best. The Rose Tteokbokki was even better than in Korea—I haven't found a better one anywhere. The sushi rolls were unique and incredibly delicious as well.

This place really delivered on freshness—every piece of fish was soft, clean-tasting, and perfectly textured, with none of that off-putting fishiness you sometimes get. I had the California Maki, King Yubu, Lemon Salmon Yubu, Philly Cream Salmon Yubu, and Mentaiko Crabmeat Yubu, and everything was well-prepared with balanced flavors and rice that held its own without being too salty. Even though I wish there was a bit more wasabi and soy sauce, the food itself was bomb, delicious, and surprisingly affordable for the quality.

Consistently good love this dish! Highly recommend their rose tteok poki. Price is reasonable at price of under $30 great portion for two includes: rice cakes,,extra wide noodles, mozarella cheese, fish cakes and mini sausages in a super yummy rose sauce!

Sooo Good!! This is my 4th time ordering Spicy Mala Rosé Topokki 마라로제떡볶이 in 3 weeks!! I can say it's now one of my favorite foods. The taste is amazing although I did request to be extra spicy. The portion size is for like 2 people. It's worth what you pay for. If I could I would have this everyday. It's that yummy 😋
