I love the cafe de olla. It's not too sweet like most places. The taquitos de guayaba are my favorite and the Torta de machaca is delicious and filling (I usually just order half for breakfast or share a whole). Please bring back the rajas quiche.

I didn't receive the Halloween Cupcake, I got 2 concha's instead, and the champurrado tasted like pumpkin. Despite all the mistakes, I give them 5 stars because everything was delicious, moist, and fresh. Bread is soft. There's a green sauce that came with my Molleta, no too spicy, not salty, but very tasty. Great food! I really enjoyed the food La Monarca Bakery . I look forward to ordering from here again.

Pastries, delicious. Cake, not so much :/
Decided to try the Vanilla & Fresh Fruit - Slice this time, I am a fan of the fresh berry cake from SusieCakes so decided to try La Monarca's version. Unfortunately, it was very dry, neither the cake nor cream had any flavor, and there was very little fruit. Tasted very much frozen, which most cakes are, but this one, freezer burnt. Probably won't be getting any more cakes from here. Stick to the pastries.

Looks very pleasing to the eye but the cake is dry and the frosting is bland, good for pictures though.
