Good Menu. Food is pictured well and has good reviews. Couldn’t decide what I wanted, that’s a good problem. Delivery fee added but compared to other restaurants, I’ll just have to pay up. The bag was heavy which is good portion size.
Smothered turkey wings were amazing: tender and flavorful with rice/corn bread. It was so filling- I ate half of the meal early and the remaining half late. Great rice and cornbread. Collards great, Dressing Great-forgot to ask for cranberry sauce.
Sweet potato pie was A1. Nice crust underneath. Pound Cake w/cobbler was tasty & large enough for two. The cake was the density of a traditional cake and not heavy like a pound cake. The cobbler didn’t have that old-fashioned crust, but it was a good taste. Ate it all. Ready to try their other items.

Stepping into Momma Dedes Southern Cookin' is like coming home for Sunday dinner. This isn't just a meal; it's a full-on, soul-satisfying experience that will have you planning your next visit before you've even finished your plate.
The moment you see the BBQ ribs or the smothered turkey wings, you know you're in for a treat. The meat is so tender and juicy it literally falls off the bone. Every bite is a flavor explosion, with the perfect blend of seasoning and that authentic, slow-cooked taste you can only find in the best Southern kitchens.
And don't even get me started on the sides. Whether it's the mac and cheese, collard greens, or cornbread, each dish is made with love and has that homemade taste that sets it apart. Momma Dedes Southern Cookin' is more than a restaurant; it's a testament to the power of good food and a warm atmosphere. If you're looking for real, mouth-watering Southern food in McDonough, this is the place to be. You won't be disappointed!

I had to come on here and leave a review! It was the 4th of July and I was in the mood for some barbecue without leaving the house — and this hit the spot perfectly.
What a surprise to discover this gem right down the street! The rib tips were so tender yet thoroughly cooked, the baked beans were just right, and the black-eyed peas were surprisingly flavorful. I ordered the three-meat plate, and everything was on point. The Polish dog was tasty, and I was pleasantly surprised to also receive some cornbread — and not just any cornbread. It was soft, moist, and almost like a cornbread cake. So good!
I couldn’t even get a picture because I just dug right in. That’s how good it was. Thank you! I’ll definitely be ordering again and recommending to friends.
