Portions are big and everything is so good! There wasn't a single item that I didn't like. The Mango Salad was fresh. The Salt And Pepper Chicken was super crispy. The Garlic Noodle came with a sauce that I haven't had before - it added umami.

Terrible portion size for the price, even with the discount. Would not order again. Paid $40 for $20 worth of food. Other Burmese places are more generous and similar taste quality (Burma Classic for example). I paid extra for extra vegetables and got two pieces of broccoli lol.

I'm a huge fan of Burmese food so was excited to try this New Burma. My experience fell short of my expectations :(
I found all the food to be pretty bland and lacking those strong flavors I get from other restaurants.
The Blackpepper Chicken was sooo bland and all the veggies didn't help. The Fiery Vegetable With Tofu was also bland, same for the veggies. Not fiery at all.
Really disappointed in the food quality.

Tea Leaf Salad usually has fish sauce (or soy sauce or something that adds umami flavor.) Without it the tea leaf salad tasted flat and kind of bland. It's kind of like having an American salad with vinegar & oil dressing but forgetting to mix the vinegar in. Having more of the dried garlic chips would have helped.
Mint Chicken was good. The mint (and cilantro?), sauce, and chicken were balanced. It was satisfyingly savory with the mint/cilantro keeping it from feeling too heavy and adding dimension to the taste. I've heard people rave about the huge portions. The portions were reasonable, not huge, but decent value for the price.

Fantastic. New favorite, tofu was terrific, everything was tasty. Nice crisp on the Fried Tofu, Sesame Tofu had a nice sauce that wasn't too sweet. Lemongrass Chicken had a good consistency of the meat & tasty sauce. Will return.
