I order from the Playwright often, and have written before about their good meals, but THIS was extraordinary. Steak was perfectly char-grilled (not blackened), the mixed vegetables were abundant and pan seared to achieve the perfect buttery mouth-feel, the sautéed mushroom and onion garnish atop the steak was sublime, playing a perfect second fiddle to the flavor profile of the meat itself. The baked potato was cooked just long enough to have a slightly crispy outer skin and a soft, light and chewy inside. I sincerely hope they pay whoever was running the kitchen tonight top dollar. A++

This restaurant is an absolute treasure. You can't find a Shepherd's Pie this good anywhere else in the state. Perfectly whipped and buttery mashed potatoes sits atop a rich, flavorful stew of country veggies and quality meats that aren't too oily and are grilled to just the right temperature. You'd think they're slipping a tiny bit of Bailey's in it too because there's a unique kick to the sauce that really makes it taste like true tavern food.

Always delicious marinated Chicken and avocado with grilled cheese and tomato with excellent steak fries. I've gotten this sandwich about ten times in the past two months. Really yummy.

The chicken tenders were burnt and the carrots sticks were mushy. Not nearly as good as last Friday's identical order.Chicken Tenders

Murphy skins were okay, potato to filling ratio could have been better. The leek potato soup was... interesting. Maybe I am just used to a thinner Potato Leek, but this seemed to be overcooked to the point that the starch in the potatos created a pudding like texture. Tasted ok but I couldnt get over the texture.
