I'm originally from Kansas City, where we know how to bbq. If you'd told me I could find great bbq in Salinas, I never would have believed you. Well consider me shocked. The pulled pork was juicy and tender. The brisket was melt in your mouth delicious. And it isn't easy to make a good pot of beans, but these were wonderful and just the right amount of spice. Generous portions also. I highly recommend giving Salinas City BBQ a try.

So, you want me to pay $5 per rib, $5.50 per chicken piece??
My local guys give me half a rack for $20...you give-me 3 ribs for $15. You do the math, not worth the price, though tender, tasty....NOT that tasty!
We will not return.

This place is my go to when I crave smoked bbq brisket but also ribs and chicken. Portions are always worth your money and the quality of the meat used is clearly of high qual which should be im no matter who you are.
Be sure to try the desert items too as they change with the season and ive yet to be disappointed so far.

The tri tip is flavorful and tender. The garlic bread is tasty and the perfect vessel for the meat. We love the sandwich with the spicy bbq sauce. Only thing I was missing from my order we're the pickled red onions & pickles but that's ok.

I ordered the Two Meat Meal with ribs, tri tip, mac n' cheese, and the cornbread. Food was amazing and delicious! Meat was very tender. The Mac n' cheese was very cheesy and super good. I will say I wasn't a huge fan of the cornbread, but that's because I was expecting it to be sweet. My boyfriend liked it though!
