Szechuan Spice is my go to Chinese restaurant in Pittsburgh. The food is always high quality, with actually authentic Chinese options versus the normal Chinese-American food at other restaurants. The portions are always filling, and the ingredients are generally top quality to justify the high price. My favorite dishes include the Imperial Beef, which is a mildly spicy beef and broccoli dish with soft velveted beef, and the Xinjiang cumin beef which is a dry stir fry beef dish with intense cumin and Szechuan pepper flavor. The delivery drivers (they use their own) have always been excellent as well.

Too oily and no flavor. Way too many chili flakes and the rice tasted like plastic. Watery sauce for the chicken Sichuan 四川.

Lo mein was terrible, literally the worst we’ve had. Two different chicken dishes tasted almost the same and both were bland. We ordered from here based solely on reviews. Disappointing

Mao’s Braised Pork Belly 毛氏红烧肉 was good and the Egg Roll (Shrimp) 虾蛋卷 were great
