I love, love, love the Soto (#204) - it is the perfect dish if you need a filling, comfort meal. The Cah Kangkung (#614) is delicious but the most recent time I ordered, the quantity was small - feel a bit ripped off on that, to be honest.

I've spent double digit thousands with them since the Palms location first opened. I'd order from both Simpang locations often and have been ordering from Palms dine in, to go and delivered for YEARS, way before this Lincoln location even existed. Today we Ordered 2 The #8 Nasi Bungkus and it is not the same anymore. The Palms location is better. Portions also got significantly smaller but the price skyrocketed. Only received half an egg. Chicken Mie Laksa was very bland and lacked the rich coconut broth it's supposed to have! EXTREMELY skimpy on chicken. Only received 2 small pieces. Char Kwetiao also not spicy like it's supposed to be.... very disappointed. Everything lacked the seasonings that make Indonesian cuisine bold and delicious. Not worth over $100 worth of dinner especially in this economy. Not sure if it was an off day but this was the most disappointing order in a while.

They are usually really awesome. The coconut rice and the Paratha were great. But my mie tek with chicken tasted as if somebody did not wash the pan. So there was a burnt charcoal taste to the noodles, which is never there. It was horrible. I could not finish them. So whoever is cooking tonight needs to clean their pans, just a waste of money.

The parking in that small parking lot can be terrible. The food is still good. However, seeing how much the food prices have increased, I was forced to take away two stars. Their menu was already very pricey due to repeated price hikes. I had stopped ordering frequently and the last time I ordered this item was in August. At the time the item price had already increased to about $16. It has increased again to $19. Add tax and it's about $21 for pickup. As you can see in the picture, it is basically just two legs & thighs with rice and a small amount of salad. The proportions have not changed but the price increases have been out of control.

I love the food at Simpang Asia. Can't really go wrong unless you get something super spicy and you don't like spicy. That happened to me once. I enjoy the amount of food I get because I can use it for two meals. And I love eating with other people so that I can try more stuff. The bread is really good
