• 29/3/25The Party Wings are out of this world, so delicious. They have the perfect amount of sauce on them and are fried to perfection.
The Handcut Fries are the perfect size and have the perfect thickness, and the seasoning is perfection and so yummy.
Don't get me started on the Banana Pudding....scrumptiousness galore. I will not share it, that's how delicious it is.
This family owned restaurant makes exceptional food, made with love and soul. I recommended everyone to try it.

• 24/9/25The food was FIRE! Super fresh, the chicken was crunchy and flavorful yet not super heavy. The rice and beans were perfectly seasoned, and the banana pudding was super fresh, even the Nilla Wafers at the bottom were still crunchy. This was probably one of the best DoorDash orders I've ever gotten so I will definitely be ordering again in the future.

• 7/4/26The grilled cheese burger is among my ultimate comfort foods! The beef is nicely lean -- this burger is not greasy, but is moist and delicious. Condiments don't overpower. And the fries are the best in Boston. These folks cook food with love, and it shows! Fabulous flavor and great value. A gem of a family restaurant that deserves recognition as legendary.
Their fried chicken is also the best I've had in the city, and among the tops anywhere. They definitely have Boston's best chopped cheese, and the grab and go egg rolls are great for a low-cost meal and don't need a massive portion. Everything I've had from these folks has been amazing.

• 9/3/25First let me say the steak and cheese is 10/10 and I work in the resta business and not only that im raised in the city of Boston and by far the best steak and cheese around. Lets get into the fried chicken, the crispyness, juiciness and flavor chefs kiss. I love that its not over seasoned or salty. For the sides A1 too. I got the chop cheese for the first time you thought you was in Ahki bodega on Brooklyn block ! Love this place cant wait until the menu expandsI know they wont miss ! Keep grinding ASA

• 4/5/25The steak and cheese was bomb! Bread pudding rich & SWEET. A little goes a long way. YUMMY. Collards and Cabbage need more "Attitude". My Mac & Cheese 🧀 puts theirs to shame but good effort!
Overall I rate "SOUL ON SHAWMUT" a 7.75
