• 11/7/26I’ve eaten here before, and unfortunately, this visit was just as disappointing. I ordered the Memphis ribs, and they were dry, overcooked, and completely lacking in flavor. They didn’t have the smoky, tender, fall-off-the-bone quality you’d expect from good barbecue.
The mashed potatoes were awful. They were thick, hard, and full of potato skins, with an unpleasant texture that tasted like they had been sitting around for a while. The macaroni and cheese had almost no cheese flavor at all—it was bland and forgettable. To make matters worse, the gravy tasted like collard greens had been mixed into it. If that’s intentional, it should be listed on the menu because it completely ruined the mashed potatoes.
As someone who knows Southern cooking, this is nowhere close to authentic Southern food. It lacks the seasoning, soul, and flavor that Southern barbecue is known for. It honestly tastes like it was made by people who don’t understand what real Southern comfort food is supposed to be.
The biggest disappointment is the price. I spent nearly $100, and the quality wasn’t even close to matching what they charge. The food was overpriced, bland, and simply not worth the money.
I won’t be going back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Southern barbecue.

• 18/6/26The brisket this time was a little lacking in flavor & not as tender as it should be. The ribs were also very small compared to normal, but I think they did give an extra rib or two to make up for it.

• 27/8/26I was looking forward to eating the two meat combo meal. It was my first time ordering from this establishment. When I went to pick up my order, I was barely greeted, which I forgave. The store wasn't busy though. I tried to get someone's attention, but that didn't work. When I get to my hotel to eat my dinner, I find my brisket to be dry and bland. The fatty parts had the most flavor. I found the chicken to be somewhat flavorfbut part of it was dry and of it was moist. I don't know what type of coleslaw that was. I couldn't eat it and the sweet potato didn't have anything to go with it like butter..overall I just couldn't eat the meal. I'm thinking that maybe this is a sitdown type of place rather than takeout.

• 22/8/25I had been a huge fan of this restaurant but after wasting close to $50 on the absolute worst BBQ I've ever eaten I doubt I'll be back. You used to get nice lean brisket on a thick slice of bread but now you just get a slab of wicked fatty meat swimming in a lake of grease. I got a sweet potato which used to come with butter. This is a teeny, tiny potato and no butter or any other kind of topping.
The collard greens had none of the bits of ham and are crunchy. I've never had them like this ever. They should be soft snd smoky from the meat.
The macaroni and cheese doesn't seem fresh and I wonder if I got yesterday's leftovers because I ordered early.
The pie was smushed flat but tasted ok.
I would not order again and this has
been my favorite for years.
