Flavor and taste was excellent but not enough portion for a $24 entree.

The Chicken Bao Bun was disgusting. I don't understand the excessive use of sauce. The bao bun itself is soft so for everything inside the bao bun to have a mushy consistency was just gross. The garlic Garlic Naan was too yeasty and not cooked enough. You usually see cooked bubbles and this didn't have that. Also, there was an insane amount of cilantro. The Rasmalai had gone bad - it was sour. When I went to try it, the container that it was in had a bubble and looked like it was going to pop. The Chicken Tikka Masala was good but didn't have enough salt. The Rogan Josh was good but insanely spicy - no where on the menu does it say this. Lastly, the Sitaful Basundi came separated. I looked at a customer photo and theirs looked delicious - I don't know what I received but it wasn't good. I'll never order from you guys again.

I was excited to try a new Indian Restaurant in our area. There are 3 new restaurants all opening up in the coming weeks. And I want them all to succeed. But I really disliked the food here overall. I always judge a restaurant by how they do 3 dishes: Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer/ Saag Paneer , and Aloo Gobi.
Overall the food is really oily, heavy, and greasy. This could be a regional preference, but the mustard oil flavor is very prominent and polarizing. It's not something I like/prefer because it's too earthy.
The texture of the masalas/sauce were overly puréed like a bisque, but was more reminiscent of baby food texture. And then has too much cream added to it.
I still think you need to try their food to support them, and decide for yourself.
I hope they do well. But they are expensive for the Hopatcong area in my opinion.
