The Tavern Burger is by far the best burger we have Ever eaten. Cooked to perfection and the quality of the meat and flavor is excellent. When we have company from out of state they always request this burger over BBQ

Grilled Chopped Steak too pink no gravy on steak onions barely cooked Spinach Salad 5 tiny shrimp. and no dressing for 18.00 salad. Deviled EggsDeviled Egg came warm and everything else cold

My wife ordered the filet mignon for her New Year's Day lunch and I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken. Her steak was cooked the requested temperature and my chicken was very tender. Over several meals from the Root Cellar the quality has been exceptional.

The collards were dry and the smallest amount I've ever seen in a vegetable and tasted primarily of vinegar. The baked potato tasted like bacon bits all throughout and the bacon on top was mushy. I did not receive green beans I received soggy onion rings. The meat was OK but the onions and mushrooms were very overcooked. I will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

The chicken was so tender and juicy! It was the best and most delicious chicken I have had from a restaurant in a very long time! The green beans and sweet potato soufflé were good, but the chicken was phenomenal! The portion size was excellent and will allow me to indulge once more!
