I grew up on authentic French pastries, and after moving to the United States in 2006, I noticed that desserts just weren’t quite the same. No offense intended—there are certainly some wonderful bakeries here—but it’s rare to find pastries with the depth, balance, and craftsmanship I grew up with. In fact, I used to drive all the way from Frederick to Bethesda just to satisfy a craving for a truly good dessert.

Everything was delicious. The croquette was crispy, buttery and the curry inside was nicely seasoned. The tiramisu was delicious and very classic. I personally struggled to open the lid for the tiramisu, but that might just be me. The peach cake was absolutely delicious, although I'm not sure if I would label it a peach cake because the predominant flavour was apricot. Delicious, very fresh, and soft regardless. I would definitely order again.
