We received excellent service during our lunchtime visit. Both Bens were gracious and knowledgeable hosts. They explained the menu and answered all of our questions. The food was outstanding! My coworkers and I will visit again.
The gumbo was tasty with the perfect amount of spice. The blackened catfish is a must-try. Several members of my party had fried chicken. They were pleased with the cook and taste.

For delivery, I ordered the gumbo, red beans, boudin, and a house salad. The gumbo was decent, but it's heavy (heavy) on the filé (if you don't like sassafras--not all gumbo uses it, avoid). The red beans was missing sausage, also heavily sassafrassed. The boudin balls were too chewy. The house salad had corn in it and the dressing was too sour for me. This unfavorable review (I would give 3/5) is really about the portion sizes, which are tiny and nothing like the photos. For over $40, I would expect more quantity and better food.

Great portions, well packaged, and incredible flavors! Hands down the best Cajun food in Austin! Specifically recommend the Gumbo , it's transcendental.

Fried Chicken Thigh, incredible. Pork Po boy, messy and delicious. Beignets, oustanding. This spot is absolutely incredible! The service is warm and friendly too. This is a must try spot!
