I have a tomato allergy but was prepared to take the hit with my benadryl because I had to try it lol. It was very oily and sorry to say and I actually can't believe I'm saying this there was too much meat? or the ratio was wayyy off I was expecting plantain in every bite with even amounts of cheese and meat. Not LASAGNA like at all. Pastelon is better than this no nostalgia. Half my plate was meat and bland. I was expecting layers but it literally was just one layer of each. The meat needed more seasoning. There should've been at least 2 layers. Not enough of each ingredient. Not worth 20$ I will make this at home for Thanksgiving. For my first time the lack of flexibility with the menu would not make me want to return. So I took off a star but as a plantain lover I couldn't drop it lower than 4. "Pretty good. Food was hot. I got a Half-Chicken with Pork Lo-Mein and two Pork Eggrolls.
Chicken was a bit soggy (par for the course with delivery, its packaged with the noodles hot, so everything gets a bit wet from the steam, not a big deal) but juicy, well seasoned and flavorful. You also get a lot of chicken for your money, they do not cheap out on the portions thankfully.
Lo-mein was very good. Hearty, savory noodles with onion, sliced carrot, and of course thin strips of pork. The pork was tender, and the sliced carrot was actually cooked soft (which is something local chinese restaurants don't typically do without you specifically requesting it, in my experience)
Eggrolls were very crispy, with tender insides. It's mostly cabbage and whatever that red sauce they use for them in there though, not a lot of meat.
Overall, pretty solid meal."
