I hadnt ordered KFC via door dash before and it was right after 5:00pm when I ordered the food trying to avoid any delays in the food I wanted to order or having the driver delay in after work traffic on a Friday. I wanted to taste the Secret Recipe Fries since I had never had them before knowing how hard they are to keep warm, I was willing to stick them in my air fryer to reheat, and I ordered extra gravy and mashed potatoes to dip them in. I norm prefer white meat over dark meat with chicken, however KFC does a great job with their dark meat original recipe chicken, and I prefer the dark meat on the original recipe chicken over white meat, as the white meat tends to be drier than dark meat (with the exception of original recipe chicken wings). I have always been a fan of KFC original recipe chicken, pot pies, and sides, but compared to other fast food restaurants I find KFC to be very expensive. My order was $77 before DD fees and tax/tip. I will definitely order this again in the near future, and when I reheat the chicken in the microwave I make sure to heat it on 50% power for a longer period of time and I put the chicken in a ziplock FREEZER bag or use 2 regular ziplock bags inside of each other to prevent the bag from breaking open in the microwave and leaving the chicken on the glass and the bag melted) to keep the steam in the bag and keep the chicken warm throughout. They were out of the vanilla dipped doughnuts, but our dasher contacted us and asked if we would like the vanilla cream filled and that was a delicious substitute! The vanilla cream inside is rich and sweet. The chocolate glaze icing on top is just as good. The only reason I put the "thumbs down" on the vanilla dipped is because they were out of them therefore, we couldn't taste them in order to form an opinion of them.They did put about a dozen of the doughnut holes, ( I think they call them Tim's Bits?) in our box to make up for the vanilla dipped being out. STRIKE3 She had given us the order for the car behind us and now she can't take it back.... FREE FOOD.. ok
When we explained that it wasn't our order she said she could prepare anything that wasn't paid for. STRIKE4. She asked to see my phone so she could view our order. She took my phone to the back somewhere abouta minute later and i assumed it was to show the cook. She comes back to the window and said ok. Sorry bout that. He's making your order now. ..... fast forward. Now we got our bag and I'm experiencing DEJAVU because the bag is ONCE AGAIN TO SMALL FOR WHAT WE ORDERED. We go thru the bag to discover THE ENTIRE BACON ULTIMATE CHEESEBURGER COMBO is missing. Along with the tacos. She apologized and offered a slice of cheesecake for the trouble. A SLICE OF CHEESECAKE.... REALLY????? Ok. She asked what we were missing and explained that it looks like it isn't all there because they were out odd boxes for the munchie meal. Meanwhile there's a stack of boxes TALLER THAN HER RIGHT BEHIND HER. STRIKE5. She ranked the order in her head and confirmed we were missing A BURGER..... really... we were missing the whole meal. We discovered the tacos were missing from the bag also.... but this time she didn't come back to the window in a couple minutes.....
