"At surface value alone, dollar for dollar mcdonalds is a heavy competitor in the fast food game, but to be candid i actually tried to order tacobell because they are about the same, but they cancelled and have proven to be unable to keep up with societal demands in this area---meanwhile the golden archs remain vigilante through morning noon and FULL night reliable, cheaper so lets get to quality. I loved another version of this burger back home, being homesick, I was over the moon to find another burger King inspired.
At nearly $19 for just the burger (before delivery), I had some sticker shock. After eating it? I’d honestly pay more.
And let's be real, if you want good food, quality ingredients, and thoughtful preparation these days, this is a median price point.
Quit eating crap burgers and sink your teeth into this guy.
I’m usually not a smash burger fan, but this is exactly the kind of burger that should be smashed. Every flavor blends together perfectly.
The homemade peanut butter was incredible. I’d buy a bucket of it if they sold one. The bacon was thick, smoky, and somehow still perfectly crisp without tasting burnt—a rare accomplishment. The potato bun was the softest bun I’ve ever had, and the entire burger was rich, indulgent, and honestly large enough that some people could split it.
Now for the story behind this review.
Yesterday I ordered from them and had an awful DoorDash experience. I waited over two hours while watching the driver circle my neighborhood. My wife’s sandwich eventually arrived looking like it had been pulled out of the trash, and my burger never arrived at all.
Today I called the cart and spoke with the chef. He couldn’t have handled it better. He was genuinely empathetic, took ownership of making things right, and immediately went into problem-solving mode. He even banned that Dasher from delivering for the cart in the future, included a complimentary order of their café fries with my order, and left me a handwritten note letting me know that driver would no longer be doing business with them.
Then, after the food arrived, the chef personally called to make sure everything had worked out.
That is customer service.
It’s easy to judge a business when everything goes perfectly. The real test is how they respond when something goes wrong. Milwuakie Cafe Cart absolutely nailed it.
If this burger was this good after delivery, I can’t imagine how incredible it is fresh off the grill. It’s officially on my list of Portland-area must-tries."

"I wanted this to be good so bad. I know ordering ân Chicago Style Italian Beef in Portland at 11 at night is a risk... but I figured it had to be good. It took a little bit for it to get here.. I only ordered a half. and I added all peppers to it ând raw onions.. there was no option to add cheese to the sub itself, but I ordered american cheese thinking they would put it on the sub.. I ordered some ajou also. The sandwich already had seemed like it was dipped. but i'm guessing it's from the meat in the juices. Regardless it was soggy already.
