Personally, my wife and I regularly order Shrimp Melts, and the Chicken/Avocado Club. Both are delicious, and have lots of what the sandwiches feature. They don't skimp on the avocado, or the shrimp, unlike a lot of other places. The serving sizes on everything are ample. I usually get a side-salad with the shrimp melt, or a burger, and it's almost a meal by itself, and comes with more than just lettuce, and some shredded carrots.

"For some reason I don't see my review from 2 nights ago, 9/4/24. So, I am going to re-state the sentiments I have for this place.
-In short, THE FOOD was an EPIC FAIL!!!
As it was already late in the evening & craving pasta, our favorite Italian restos nearby were closed for delivery. First time to order here & did so with DoorDash. The Dasher delivered it fast (thank you), & the order came still nice and warm...but that was the only good thing about this order. Besides the portions being very small, all the dishes were super-duper, very, very salty (they were inedible)! ALL OF THEM! We ordered 4 dishes: Guazzetto Di Mare ($19.95), Carbonara ($24.95), Vegan Cauliflower Linguini ($23.95), Strozzapreti ($27.95).
I expected the clams in the Guazzetto to have natural sweetness & saltiness to them, but this dish had more than seawater saltiness so you know there was too much salt added there. First taste of the broth by sopping the 2 small pieces of grilled bread that came with the dish, & was downhill from there. Even the clams were too salty! All the other dishes were the same, so there was no excuse that this was a one-off.
I called the restaurant within 20 mins of food arrival, & spoke with the manager, Rosario. He explained the natural saltiness of the clams and the cheeses, which I understand, as we've had these dishes at other restaurants- no problems. But these were obviously OVERSALTED by the kitchen. He offered to remake the dishes for me, but only if I had to pick them up...but we can't & thus, the reason we had our dinner delivered. I explained that the reason for my call anyway was to inform them, not expecting freebies. But in the end, it was time & money wasted, literally leaving a bad taste in your mouth. We retreated back to our kitchen, with no more time to make dinner for ourselves, & resorted to cookies in the cupboard.
Their kitchen staff needs to taste the pasta water to start, & taste the food before they are served/boxed to customers.

"The burger was cooked as I asked and quite delicious. The fries were a bit too much for lunch so I had them as leftovers. A meal themselves!"
"I can't figure out why this place is rated so high. First of all, they messed up the order for 2 of the 3 burgers. The patties were small and relatively bland and the burgers as a whole, for having multiple sauces, were dry. The plain fries were good, but the sweet potato fries were soggy.
Not a gourmet burger and certainly not worth $20. Wildly disappointing!"

"My first time ordering from Mixt and I was pleasantly surprised.
Quality of ingredients was great and fresh. Delivery from San Ramon to Castro Valley was timely.
I ordered the crispy chicken poblano salad. The dressing was excellent.
I also tried the fried cauliflower. It arrived soggy in a non-ventilated container. I popped them in the air fryer for a few minutes and they were good as new. Dipping sauce was also excellent.
I didn't love the delivery fee, but I'd order from here again if not sit down at the brick and mortar.
Also appreciate the compostable containers and well packaged delivery. "
"I ordered a taco salad and requested no rice. It was delivered by DoorDash and when I opened the container it was laughably small. Paid over $30 for the salad and a side. I wish I could attach a picture. A few pieces of chicken, a tablespoon of beans, sprinkling of Cojota cheese and 4 slices of avocado.
I will not be coming here again. "

"We normally drive far away to eat at authentic Hunan, Sichuan, Sanghainese or Cantonese Restaurants instead of generic Chinese restaurants but I would give this local place 5 stars for simply serving deliciously cooked food. The chef here is really talented at their craft: The lemon chicken has crispy exterior and a tender interior, the green beans were crunchy and not over-fried or oily, the salt & pepper prawns were made with fresh, succulent jumbo prawns. The Singapore noodle dish is super tasty and flavorful. I highly recommend!"
"Fish with black bean sauce was good. Chef accommodated part of my special request to my cheat chicken. Not a lot of chicken but lots of veggies, but I like more sauce than veggies. The sizzlibg rice soup was excellent."
