"I haven't had Mendocino Farms in many years, so I thought I would try them again. Overall, the food was ok--the quality was fine and fresh, but the flavors were lacking.
Prosciutto & Chicken - Given the ingredients I was expected to be blown away, but it was just fine. It was tasty, but not super delicious or well seasoned, and a little better when I added a little salt. The ciabatta was soft and the pesto was fine, but the amount of chicken (which was bland) and prosciutto was minimal given the price. I should not have leftover bread edges with no meat/filling in it after I finish the sandwich.
The Southern Potato salad -- Again, ok, and definitely underseasoned even with all the ingredients. And the portion was small. I expected a full 8oz deli side for the small, but I think that was 4oz and the container wasn't even full. I used to love their spicy potato salad from years ago with the giardiniera, so I was hoping for more flavor. Salt helped.
Lastly, the Lemon Chicken and Farro soup -- it was nice and warm and the broth was tasty but needed a little salt to make it shine some but the sparse, teeny pieces of chicken and bits of farro dispelled the "hearty" that was in the description. It was mostly all broth. For $7 I was expecting more.
So I give them marks for ingredient quality, freshness and creativity, plus the packaging was perfect, but I underwhelmed by the flavor (which had potential but needed more seasoning), and portion for the price (potato salad and the mostly broth soup)."

"Let me say that I love Hungry Man's food and will continue to eat there. But my initial issue with the Escoveitched Fish (this is my 2nd time ordering it), that for the price, the fish size is small compared to other whole body fish meals I get from other spots , still stands. This meal felt more like $25 not $36. My other Jamaican spot that had a really good-sized snapper dinners for $34 (and their fish was really good) stopped serving fish altogether (maybe due to cost or supply chain issues?), but I had a hankering for escoveitch (and felt too lazy to make my own) so I decided to try HM's again. The peas and rice was good as always (and there was a lot of it), and the fish was cooked well but just ok flavor wise tho the pickle was tasty and worked when eaten together of course.
