The Antipasto was the worst I've ever had in 50 years. The meat was dry and tasted as if it had been sitting out for an extended amount of time. I didn't know black olives could be completely flavorless in Antipasto. The giant wilted leaves of iceberg lettuce were an additional negative along with the low quality, dry mozzarella included in the dish. No dressing either. It resembled a sloppy charcuterie board at best.
I would have loved to review the $20.00+ Small Garbage Stromboli I ordered and paid for but as the restaurant didn't provide it, there's that. I got 2 breadsticks instead. Oh joy!
The Large Zeppolis were actually good. But the price doesn't correlate to the amount you receive. Zeppolis aren't supposed to be chicken nugget sized, served in a cheap Styrofoam tray in a flat layer.... not for $12.99. That price needs to come down and the dish needs to be made correctly.

"Pies are small for the pricing, they are what I would consider a typical medium pie - don't expect the typical "size of your head" large pie slice . Sunday sauce pizza was very good but not $31.50 for a medium pie good. Same could be said for the $23.00 cheese pie size/price comparison. Meatballs were ok, light on seasoning and heavy on breadcrumbs, about 1.5" size - our kids liked them. Overall: We will likely order again if in a pizza-pinch ... but with steep local competition, accounting for size, price, and flavor it won't be the default "go to" by a fair margin."
"I have been ordering from Delray Pizza weekly for the last 6 months but today I spent over $100 for horrible food and directions that were not followed. First we ordered some pizza slices. Meatball and carmalized onions and Chicken Parm Slice with garlic added. First thing we noticed was the lack of cheese. The meatballs were not meatballs at all but smashed. We were looking for the onions. Only half of each slice had some of this meatball mixture. The Chicken Parm Slice again had barely any cheese and we could not find the garlic or onions. We asked them to 'burn' the slices. We felt like our instructions were not followed on any items. The Garlic Bread we asked for extra garlic and oil. Neither happened. The baked ziti we asked for a side of sauce. Never received. Then we ordered a side of meatballs. 3 teeny tiny meatballs for $11. Now I have to rethink whether I go back. "

The chicken Francese was super tender, like butter. You could cut it with your fork. No knife needed. The sauce was perfectly balanced and reduced with the lemon, butter, and wine.
And here's the thing,
They actually went through the trouble to package the cold salad, seperately from the hot food. That only happens when someone cares. Do not be fooled by the name Big Loui's and think that this is simply a pizza joint. It's actually one of the best Italian American restaurants in town! Hands down. I spend every summer in Italy.
