"Took a chance and tried this nice establishment, as we were in the mood for some righteous Chow Mein and Chow Fun.
It's hard to find proper Cantonese versions of both. Chow Mein is normally merely passable, with the horrid lo mein noodles raking up space in my gullet.
I was pleasantly surprised by the "craftsmanship" of both. very "wok-hei" when it arrived. Flavor was nostalgic, of SF Chinatown and the old-time Bay Area style of cooking .
The veggies were not my fave, stringy and a bit chewy, but that's ok. I just ate more noodles.
Sometimes I judge a Chinese restaurant by their tomato egg over rice dish. Not bad. A little salty, but it's ok, I just ate more noodles.
Overall, well done, Top Cafe. We'll be back.

I had the Sichuan Spicy Soup Base 川式麻辣烫（1.5 lb） with three different beefs, and a handful of veggies. The delivery (1 bowl) arrived almost an hour and a half after ordered, but was worth it. The meats were cooked but the potatoes were not. The broth was still warm (didn't need heating up), and I enjoyed making my own little sauce bowl at home with the Garlic Paste 蒜泥 , Chili Sauce 辣椒酱 Sesame Sauce 麻酱 , Cilantro 香菜 , and Chopped Green Onion 葱花 .
I've already mentioned this to my friend who is very excited to try as well. I would be curious to try dine in. "

"My family and I were extremely impressed with the quality of the food! The Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai (8) 香菇猪肉虾烧卖 had a little water chestnut in it, and I loved that! The Pork Pot Sticker (6) 猪肉锅贴 were flavorful and nicely fried on the bottom. The Shanghai Pork Soup Dumpling (6) 灌汤小笼包 (Xlb) still had soup in it, which is rare for delivery. The Bbq Pork Steamed Bun (3) 蜜汁叉烧包 had plenty of tender pork in it, and the ratio of bun to meat was excellent. The Vegetarian Spring Roll (4) 素春卷 were nice and crispy and tasted good. The Chocolate Xiao Long Bao (6) 巧克力小笼包 had 4 milk chocolate and 2 white chocolate, which I didn't realize, but fortunately there are some people in my house that like white chocolate. I thought the Chicken & Corn Soup 鸡蓉玉米汤 was just okay, but I added some rice vinegar and soy sauce and enjoyed it more.
There were some great deals on dumplings when we ordered, which was awesome! We got several items for free because of two-for-one deals, so the value was amazing. We will definitely be ordering again!"
