"These were some of the worst donuts I've ever had. The oil was soaked into the dough of all our raised donuts, to the point where we could see the puddled layers of oil saturating the center of the donuts. It was like the oil wasnt hot enough when they added the donuts, so it had time to soak into the dough before the dough on the outside could cook. I didn't mind that the chocolate glaze was strangely matte, but it didn't taste like chocolate at all. The old fashion I received was so thin, it looked like an oversized onion ring. If this is normal for this business, it would appear they are really relying on name recognition. They either need to fix their recipes or retrain their baker."

"I've been eating at La Mordida for 10 years. The food is consistently good, and they're open "late" (for Pacifica/the Bay Area, where everything closes early). I always order either the Super (carnitas or chile verde), Vegetarian burrito, baby burrito, carnitas nachos, huarrache (sooooo good!), chile relleño, a la cart rice (always super fresh & moist/not dried out), side of refried beans, quesadilla, Crispy Taco, & regular street tacos. "We did not really enjoy this food. Everything just tasted a little off. We ordered two Carne Asada plates. The meat was fine, but a small portion, but the rice and beans were really not good. I also tried a carnitas taco and it was just ok. Really didn't feel great after eating it, but we gave them another try the other night in case it was just a one-off bad night, but this time in person and it still wasn't great and we felt not great again. Won't be eating here again. It's too bad, but they really need to upgrade the quality of their food and flavors."
