"The combo tempura is definitely a PASS. It's pretty common to have at least two pieces of shrimp (the photo even shows two), but this came with one tiny, poorly fried shrimp. Even the veggies were scarce; seems like they went heavy on the fried onions to fill it out.
I ordered the two item bento (salmon teriyaki and california roll). The salmon was squishy and not cooked well all the way through. The sushi rice on the california roll was hard and bland, and the imitation crab seemed like it was also going bad. It had a grainy texture and a fishier taste than normal quality imitation crab from other restaurants. We had one bite and had to toss it. The bento was also missing miso soups for both orders.
I'd expect this from a fast take-out sushi joint, but for these prices, it's a hard "no" from me."

"I won't order again from this restaurant. I tried to order the osmanthus rice cake two days in a row (yesterday and today), and the item was missing from my delivery on both occasions.
Listing an item on the menu that is consistently not provided is a complete waste of the customer's time. This is false marketing, and it's incredibly frustrating to place an order only to have it arrive incomplete repeatedly. A restaurant that cannot maintain an accurate menu should be delisted from the platform.

"My first time trying EE Sushi, probably because they look to be new. I have to say, some of the best sushi I've had in a long time! Super fresh and beautifully made. I got a Salmon Skin Hand Roll which was perfectly crispy, with the perfect amount of chew, the California Hand Roll and Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll both were so fresh and delicious. Tekka Maki was a great size, perfect tuna to rice ratio, but the real show stopped was the Veggie Tiger. I don't usually do veggie rolls, but something about it just caught my eye. Truly this might be the item that brings me back weekly. It's a sweeter roll, so if you're not into that it might not be your cup of tea, but omg it was amazing. "Took a chance and tried this nice establishment, as we were in the mood for some righteous Chow Mein and Chow Fun.
It's hard to find proper Cantonese versions of both. Chow Mein is normally merely passable, with the horrid lo mein noodles raking up space in my gullet.
I was pleasantly surprised by the "craftsmanship" of both. very "wok-hei" when it arrived. Flavor was nostalgic, of SF Chinatown and the old-time Bay Area style of cooking .
The veggies were not my fave, stringy and a bit chewy, but that's ok. I just ate more noodles.
Sometimes I judge a Chinese restaurant by their tomato egg over rice dish. Not bad. A little salty, but it's ok, I just ate more noodles.
Overall, well done, Top Cafe. We'll be back.
