I noticed this spot while running an errand and then an acquaintance said the pizza was good. The food was really good. I love French Onion Soup and they packaged it so I felt like I was eating from a crock- it was easy to move it from the transport dish to my own much. The salad was fresh and a meal on its own.

Fries were over cooked but maybe because the Carolina Burger was asked to be cooked well done. The Wednesday Daily Slice was sweet and spicy. Wished I ordered more. Over all great and fast service. The portions are always more than expected and the flavor is amazing. I will always recommend The Tavern in the Forest!

We moved to Myrtle Beach in Oct from Georgia and was looking for something close and convenient to our home. My aunt and I have made The Tavern our go to place. My Mom just came to visit for a week and we took her there the first night well she fell in love with the place. We had the tavern nachos and with out a doubt hands down they are the best all of us ever had. I highly recommend the onion soup was delicious and the pizza was fabulous. My mother has wanted to go there every single day she has been here. She loves the staff especially Jason the manager. He remembered her her name and all of us. We thought at first he was a runner because he brought our food he never stops he supports his employees he addresses all the patrons making everyone feel important and welcome. The customers must feel the same about him and the other associates because being there everyday we noticed a lot of the patrons were regulars along w their friends and families. If you're looking for a place with quality food and friendly atmosphere this is the place. If I had a complaint which I understand is it takes awhile for the food but if they are preparing fresh by the order and it's not the typical chain restaurant style food it's going to take alittle longer. I would maybe offer bread or chips something to nibble on while they wait . Overall it s well worth the wait. Last shout out would go to Heather our waitress she has been there it sounds since they were open that alone says a lot of the establishment and its owners. Aria was another of our waitresses each and every time we were there from day one our drinks were on the table which she remembered from the first visit. Lastly my mother has told everyone she has met while she was here about Jason and this restaurant her name is Diane Thanks for making my mothers week special

Everything was packed well and still hot. Some of the best mac and cheese bites. Reminded me of Cheesecake Factory if you know you know. Bineless wings cooked perfect. I wish the skins had a little more cheese but still good. Great apps thanks!

I love the Tavern in the Forest. I have been going there 20 years now. The club sandwich is wonderful. The pizza is really good. Most anything you order is good. Popular with the locals.
