This was the first time we have ordered from Casa De Avila Tacos and having DoorDash deliver it was a treat.
I couldn’t find the menu on their site
so looking at the photos provided is how we picked the Carnitas Taco Platter and Mashed Potato Taquitos (4).
We both enjoyed our own Carnitas Taco Platter. We ordered it without the refried beans. We both throughly enjoyed the tacos which were on soft shells. They were small, but packed to their fullest.
The Mashed Potato Taquitos was a surprise to see salad on top of them because the “ordering” photo did not show salad mixture on top. Even though, they were delicious. Scarlett, our Golden Retriever, enjoyed small bites as well.

The chips and salsa were surprisingly disappointing. I was expecting the thin, crispy and lightly salted chips you get at Mexican restaurants but this reminded me a lot of bag tortilla chips and the salsa was underwhelming/small portion for the chips and to cost $4 more than just the chips. The birria was on point as always though (hence the 5 stars), but I do miss the deeper cup of consommé.

Ordered the Quesataco Birria Platter and it lacked flavor.. I was excited when ordering because how many food reviews. The chips & gauc was pretty much the same size you get at chipotle. Gauc was ok taste of lime is strong. Best thing was the Esquite.

Oh my goodness. If I could give more stars I would. First time ordering so I ordered light and im upset that I did. The Shrimptaco was amazing. Shrimp were fried to perfection with the perfect amount of cabbage and sauce. The Burris Dorado Birria Platter was juicy and tender and stuffed with meat. The rice and beans are a1 as well.

Everything was great besides the guacamole. Not worth the $4 for the size/ quality. Tacos.. great
