It tasted more like chocolate milk than a chocolate shake but it was still pretty good fr especially for the price.

I really wanted to like this place because the atmosphere is cute and it has such a long history in the area. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
The two women making the sandwiches were incredibly rude and unwelcoming. They wouldn’t even put basic condiments like mayonnaise or oil and vinegar on the sandwiches, instead handing them to us on the side and expecting us to add them ourselves.
For a place with such a long-standing reputation, I expected much better service and overall experience. Sadly, this place was a huge letdown and I won’t be coming back. I get better service/quality from Jersey Mikes.

Sandwich is nothing but bread and lettuce. Paid to add avocado and barely got any.

I got a 2. Pastrami Sandwich (Jumbo). It's been a while since I've ordered I had forgotten that the sandwich is hot. Had the menu shown this was a hot sandwich I would have said no lettuce, it's just a wilted soggy mess. I liked everything else. The menu should say "hot" pastrami, or have the sandwiches broken down by hot and cold. The pastrami, pickles and bread were. The swiss cheese was also good; I may not have had it on a hot pastrami.

Lettuce and tomato on a hot meatball sandwich? And no way to order it without. Seems like a sub shop would know how disgusting that is
