Fantastic quality today (Wednesday 1st, 2025 @2:30PM). Hot and fresh, Lo Mein noodles cooked just right. Everything on point.

I got the chicken and broccoli lunch special and the chicken with L8.Chicken w.Ginger & Garlic. Both had generous portions, and were fresh and perfectly prepared! The L8 was unexpectedly spicy (I might have missed that in the description) but not overwhelmingly so. Can't wait to order again!

This recent meal I order included Chicken Chow Mein, which was more like a soup with loads of onions, a few hard to chew carrot slices, a handful of mushrooms, a handful of bean sprouts, a handful of snow peas, and of course slices of white meat chicken which looked as if they were boiled in the copious amount of broth in the container. I expected something with more of a thick sauce, rather than a chicken soup.
The Honey Chicken we received was overcooked and chewy, rather than lightly crispy and tender. I know that Honey, Orange, Sesame, Bourbon styles all use prepped battered chicken which is fried again on order to make it crispy and then tossed in whichever sauce is designated for the dish, but this leads to a problem when the prepped chicken has sat too long. The proprietor really needs to stay on top of this.
The Spring Rolls were slightly overcooked (dark brown, when they should be lightly golden).
The sauces for their dishes are pretty much same-same, baseline generic Chinese Takeout style. There's no ingenuity, or attempt to improve on things. I'm not asking for PF Chang's at these prices, but a little flair would be nice. There's a whole internet full of improved recipes to choose from, explore a little.
One last thing, and I thought by now this would be fixed, PLEASE UPDATE THE PAGE WITH PICTURES OF ALL OF YOUR DISHES. Some folks (like me) will shop with our eyes when choosing a meal, and knowing what something looks like before ordering it goes a long way towards improving the experience. Lord knows it would have helped me avoid the soupy Chicken Chow Mein I received.

S10. Dragon & Phoenix (Quart) They are usually ALWAYS on point, but in getting the dish last night for dinner, the chicken was fried so hard, it was virtually inedible. The shrimp in the dish were fine (although not many of those). Have had this dish before and the last time it was this way as well. Not sure I'd order again.

this was some of the best L13. Chicken with Black Pepper I've ever had. A true gem of this restaurant. good single portion size. sides are a bit pricey but good main course prices.
