• 28/10/25LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I lived in Miami for nearly 20 years & Love Haitian Cuisine. After moving back home to the CSRA I had to give up certain foods and missing out on Haitian meals waa my biggest regret. I'm SO glad I found Island Cafe bc The food is Wonderful & fresh. The griot is Amazing as well the Fried turkey with green plantains and cabbage! I had the stewed okra & veggies the last time just to try something new and it was also SO delicious!

• 24/8/25Totally no legume. This was a very far stretch from the actual lemen because I personally know this dish and my family. I did called and spoke with the cook and expressed my concerns. Iam currently making my version of that dish . Please guys try the other dishes. This particular dish is just a trail run. I will give this restaurant another opportunity to prove me wrong. I posted my pics of what the stew supposed to look like in the cooking process and BTY they had no sauce beans with the dish which is customary. But please guys try the other dishes. They will get this one right this is just the starting point

All meals come with 2 sides. White Rice, black beans, red beans rice, green plantains / sweet, sweet potatoes, salad, potato salad, mac & cheese, and pikliz . (pikliz is a condiment that enhances flavor, made of cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, scotch bonnet peppers, garlic, onions, white vinegar, lemon, and hot pepper.)
