Well. Now, I have a problem. Do I possess enough adjectives in my vocabulary to describe what I am eating? I hope to do it justice.
First, the Hungarian Mushroom Soup . Exquisite. Earthy mushrooms, smoky paprika with a mild spiciness, sweet onions, a splash of cream, and then the revelation: bright dill, which elevates the entire dish. Generous portion for a $9 bowl of house-made soup! It will be a part of every future order. I'm saving half for later.
French Dip . First of all, I think they made the potato chips? Very crisp and perfectly seasoned.
The bread. The thin crisp crust pairs with the soft interior such that I think it would be quite delicious on its own. It has a nice chew and provides a great foundation for the sandwich.
Excellent meat-to-bread ratio, and the other ingredients enhance the beef, rather than competing with it. The addition of dots of blue cheese with the provolone bring an umami boost. The lightly caramelized onions are a sweet textural counterpart. The mayo includes a subtle bright bite of horseradish. Somewhere I am also picking up what I think is a lovely layer of rosemary—perhaps oil?
The jus has a savory beefy depth and is, refreshingly, not super salty. It really compliments all of the elements of the sandwich. The sandwich is great without it, and reaches another level with it.
Flourless Chocolate Torte Gluten Free Deep bittersweet chocolate. Great texture. No notes. Added some of my slightly warmed homemade raspberry compote and a bit of whipped heavy cream to add contrast. It revealed the quality of the torte delightfully.
The packaging. Compostable, planet friendly. Rare. I make note of places that use good packaging and they stay at the top of my list.
This restaurant's kitchen is clearly run by someone who understands the nuances and complexities of flavor-building, and uses herbs and spices to gorgeous effect. Sincerely. A person has to love food to make these recipes.

Food was delicious overall, but the Strawberry Fields salad was also really disappointing. I literally had 3 slivers of strawberry - not even a full strawberries worth! on the whole salad. For a nearly $20 salad that's ridiculous. What i did get was good, I just hope their quality/portion control will be better the next time. The Tomato Basil Soup was great. Good flavor, good texture, good amount.

If I could give more tha 5 stars I would! Packed with flavor and delivered in sturdy packaging so it doesn't spill. I had the Artichoke Spin and Hungarian Mushroom Soup. I literally closed my eyes with each bite to take in the flavor for each of them. This is my new favorite!

the worst part of this is the chips.
sandwich is delicious, I wish there was a little more spice though but a solid and filling sandwich for an oversized person like myself. this is my favorite lunch spot

A lot of their sandwiches taste good but i've always thought they were very stingy with the ingredients.
Today I decided to try their mac and cheese and basil soup. The soup tasted decent, but the container was 25% empty. The mac and cheese was hands down the worst mac and cheese I've ever had. And to top it off, the container was 75% empty. What a rip off.
