The Lakou Delight was delicious! The salad has fallen off the last two times I've had it. the squash and salmon have been over cooked. This time there was hardly any squash (about 4-6 small pieces) and the cranberries weren't quite ready. I still love Lakou though! I've been going there for years and rarely have any issues.

Haitian Soup Joumou was not traditional at all, their wasn't even noodles in it. I got beef to add texture and flavor the beef was sour had way to much vinegar and no epis I didn't even drink a quarter of it and I'm throwing it away. Soup its self was very watery and had no Joumou flavor. It definitely needed more time to cook down it needed pepper flavor so I added some to see if it would help add some heat and it help a little but the beef being so acidic took away from the taste. As a Haitian no matter what way you make soup Joumou the flavors marry and all the soups regardless of who makes it tastes similar. This one was way off. The Puff Pastries was terrible and had no flavor not even a little epis I had the chicken. I took 2 bites very little chicken at that. The Ginger Limeade was really good. Best part of the meal wasn't sweet flavor was just right, nice and cold. I wouldn't order from here again. I a waste of $40

So good! The pikliz is on point and the lil epis sauce is amazing as well( lil on the salty side)
But the combo of flavors for a vegan dish is so delicious. This is my go to for my non-meat eaters.

As a 1st time customer, I must say I'm truly impressed with the Seared Herb Salmon Filet meal! The salmon was cooked perfectly, the white rice was delicious and the black bean sauce was a great addition to this meal! I can't wait to order this meal again from Lakou Cafe!
