The Cheese Calzone was HUGE and it was made very well. The taste was outstanding! The
Large Cheese Pizza (with Italian sausage and pepperoni). was delicious, even though they forgot the pepperoni. 😔 The Garlic Cheese Bread was a tad garlic heavy, but it was really good, once you took the garlic slivers off. Overall, they really impressed us.

12 inch Meatball Parmigiana is very good and even better when topped with pineapple. Fries were good after I heated them more in the air frier. Sal's would do well to vent the styrofoam box to keep fries from getting limp and/or chewy.

The Small Cheese Pizza with peppers and onions was the worst pizza I've ever had. Tasted old, overcooked, greasy and there were hardly any onions or peppers. The Large Cheese Pizza with pepperoni was exactly the same. The Garlic Cheese Bread was undercooked and the cheese was in between the loaf and cold. I was so deeply disappointed in all of the food. I remember when Sal's had pride in their food. Today, they did not.

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza, which was clearly a cheese pizza that after being cooked had pine apple and ham thrown on and then put in the box. The concept of ordering g a pizza with all of the topping cooked in the pizza seemed to be unknown when this pizza was cooked. The Philly cheese pizza describes as steak, provolone cheese, peppers, onions and mushrooms came with raw peppers, steak, onions, provolone cheese, pepperoni and pizza sauce. That's not what I'd call a cheese steak sub. All in all I spent over $100 on food and was extremely disappointed.

sal's isn't quite back to its original glory, but this is the best its been since it was sold. i'm so glad i can start eating there again. thanks to the new owners for caring about how things used to be done, and making good pizza. their effort really shines through. the pizza was delicious, the garlic cheese bread was great (though i would have loved it a bit more if it had come with marinara for dipping, but i think that was probably something i was supposed to order separately and missed).
