Kadok's is our go-to place for quick food. Their vinegar sauce is so good with the Bangsilog meal. The portions are good as well.

Kadok's has always been one of my go-to when I'd rather have someone else cook food for me. They truly never disappoints. Well, except for this batch of lumpia shanghai I ordered. What happened to the bite size morsels of goodness that they used to sell with a crunch so loud every Pinoy and non Pinoy crave? They've been replaced by a chewy wrapper, that's what! Delivered hot off the fryer without the crunch, but rather a chewy texture that I don't appreciate. Kinda like a warmed 2 day old lumpia. Im sure someone else appreciates it, but I do prefer the classic shanghai lumpia they used to serve, where you can see where the cook cut them into smaller pieces, both ends brown from frying. Moving on the Lechon Kawali! The saddest lechon kawali I've ever seen. Not at all the chunky squares of fried pork belly goodness, with skin crackling, fat rendered, and chewy meat. No sir! I was served a sliver of fried pork belly! Chewing the skin took a century to soften. Their lechon kawali are mostly fat with barely any meat. I was gagging from all the fat. It was not appealing. Quality was just bad. Thin, soggy slices are not the what I used to order from this restaurant. They're just disappointing. Prices have gone up, too, but just not worth the good quality anymore and the small portion just makes me regret ordering it.
Dont come at me. These are my own review of the food I ordered. Would I order again? Probably not the sad lechon kawali. The lumpia, maybe! For party purposes, I definitely will. Im not mad altogether, just disappointed with the food quality.

Good - the Malabon was really good this time. It wasn't dry like last time. The portion was more than enough for two people as listed. The lumpiang gulay were good as always. I just wish their vinegar dip tasted like sour vinegar instead of sweet vinegar. They used ripe bananas this time so the turon were good. They just didn't use enough sugar to caramelized the outside.
Bad - they didn't deliver my lumpiang shanghai.
Ugly - the pork bbq skewers were really burnt and tough. It seemed like they were cooked repeatedly. They were so dry and tough. Other than being somewhat spicy, they're just too charcoaled to have any other flavor. I've noticed they haven't had siopao listed on their menu for several days.

The bbq was good, but the portion was small for $15 Pork BBQ Stick
The Gulaman Sago was delicious and was very generous size. I'll have leftovers for tomorrow.

One of the vinegar small containers was not properly closed. The vinegar ended up in the plastic bag. Lumpia was too oily and oil used
was not fresh cuz lumpia tasted like the oil which was not acceptable. I would not order the lumpia vegetable again.
I noticed the tapa silog's portion had diminished again. I have ordered this all the
time and surely know for sure that the tapa's
portion had completely diminished. You raised the price but made the order smaller
portion. What a joke.!
