My favorite sushi place to eat in, in Pasadena. The Cucumber Salad, Shishito Peppers, and Garlic Chili Edamame are my favorite appetizers to order. They aren't too filling and are packed with flavor; although, they are better in house than they are take out. It is a bit pricy as take out, I recommend you eat at the restaurant and get the all you can eat, a lot of bang for your buck and everything tastes fresh and delicious

The "premium" rolls are incredibly tiny and look nothing like the menu photos. The salmon on top of the Salmon Crunch roll was so thin, you could see through it. And the Scream Roll has zero heat. It may be a better deal to do the AYCE, but ordering rolls a la carte here is a complete ripoff.

I ordered all nigiri. A couple were reasonably sized and some had a tiny sliver of fish on them (like half the size). Also the yuzu tuna (although a dollar extra) didn't taste any different than your average tuna nigiri. I'm not sure there was any yuzu on it.

I placed my order 7 minutes before closing so perhaps staff were in a rush to get home, but there were no utensils, no soy sauce no wasabi, no ginger,and my bag was not sealed. Because of this, they lost one star. However the premium rolls came with sauces and I will say that the quality of their food is very good. Fish was fresh and clean, and everything tasted delicious.

Sept 22 - the chef must have finally changed! The rolls were perfect, the crispy tuna was a new square shaped and not burned to a crisp. So happy changes were made!
