I've not been to Alamo in years, Doordashed tonight. They hav certainly licked up their Ribs, a very meaty 7 Bone 1/2 Rackwith 2 sides. Sweet with Heat, for my pallet, could have used a bit more Smoke. If 10 were fall off the bone tender, I'll give an 8.5..no complaint at all. The Red Potato Salad was Killer, but a smallish portion. nice chunk of cornbread/butter.

someone sold me when they said "best BBQ in richmond" that's pushing it, extremely. to be the best you have to have good smoked MEATS and sides. don't get it twisted, the pork was good, but nothing to rave about. their Mac and cheese... it was dry and I can only describe it as pasta shells with Velveeta. Alamo Slaw is pretty good, it is a tangy and fresh slaw. I wish I could give a positive review on the Texas TrainWreck but I can't. not only was I missing the cornbread but the pulled chicken looked and tasted as if it was from a can with seasoning on top. they threw in some kind of sweet potato side that we did not order and honestly... hands down the best thing we got.

cowboy beans were undercooked and crunchy. jalapeno Mac n cheese was broken and somewhat gritty. no peppers in sight. caviar was bland. $7 for what seemed like a cup of black beans and corn from the can. French fries were ok after you wiped off some of the salt. very disappointed. you get two stars for the burrito.

The potato salad had way too many green peppers - took over the taste. Cornbread was DRY. The sandwich was a decent size but the taste was meh. Not worth $40.00.
