From a native Mainer, hands down Amatoes is my favorite place to eat! Italian-American food is my favorite. I was raised on Amatoes and always such a special treat in my family since I can remember. I have frequently ordered from them three times a week. I have recently started using door dash and couldn't be more pleased. I just ordered a spaghetti and meatball dinner, veggie pazzo stuffers and a large ham Italian. I'm eating my fill and will have leftovers for the entire week! It was so hot when it arrived I had to wait to eat it. Yes I ordered all of this just for myself and no delivery fee and more reasonably priced than any place to eat in town. The pazzo stuffers in the picture actually had 2 more, but I ate them before I took the picture.

Way too much mayonnaise & celery in the sandwich. And the celery was cut up in huge pieces. Hard to eat. Bacon looked like & tasted days old. I order this sandwich often & I guess it was a bad day for someone.

i called the store to get my pazzo bread cooked well done because i like extra crispy. I got it cooked less than what i usually is. This is the third time this has happened through doordash as well at in store. Not happy i wasted $8

My BLTs are usually good from Amatos but today's arrived with no mayo, burnt bread, and very little bacon. Whoever assembled the sandwich today was either really busy or undertrained.

Large Angus Steak & Cheese no veggies with mayo. Flavorful and fresh. Good quality meat. Good portion size. Would order again
