This is my son's default place to eat. We've been going here 20 years. The hot dogs are good, the bacon cheeseburger is tasty and filling and the staff is aces.

The absolute best quality fast food in the San Francisco Bay Area! The only place you can get top quality hot dogs besides going to a ball park. The have great burgers, shakes, malts, etc. Everything is great here. The owner is a great guy and treats me like family every time I go though the drive thru. The employees always take care of my girlfriend, and I, and we get food at Ben Franks 7+ times per month. Highly recommend if you are in Redwood City. Lucky for me, I live here.

It's funny, I've lived very close to this little place, just on the corner of El Camino and Whipple, for 3 decades. In the old days their buns were horrible, they've upped the quality of them. Now they use a nicer sesame seeded bun and it's perfection for the burgers. One of my favorite burgers that are near by for sure. Now their shakes are just too sweet for whatever reason. Not sure but probably the ice cream they use is one of those that's very heavy on the sugar so won't be ordering one of those again. Their "onion chips" are hit and miss. Sometimes they taste really fresh, crunchy on the outside, onion goodness on the inside but other times they taste like they've been sitting around under one of those heat lamps too long. Not had one of their hotdogs in forever but if I remember correctly they were very good too. Burgers top notch, improve the shakes and stop selling old onion chips (and maybe the fries fall under that hit and miss thing too). I'd love to try their garlic fries but I'm very partial to Pasha's as they are so rich in flavor and the fries are actually kind of droopy but it's because of all the oily garlic they have them covered with. Other garlic fries are usually overly crispy with hardly any garlic and oil on them so it's slides off and ends up in the bottom of the basket. Maybe one day I'll take a chance on Ben's ... we shall see.

Perfect!!!! This is the best fast food place in the entire Bay Area! This is quality fast food! Nice people work there and the owner treats me like family when I see him there every so often.

Ben Frank's makes the best Bowl of Chili with cheese and onions very spicy. They also make a delicious Chili - Cheese Dog and Garlic Fries really nice work.
