This was my first time eating at Big Hops. I can kick myself for not eating there sooner. I've seen it for years, but thought it was another mediocre soul food place. I was dead wrong! I ordered the catfish & spaghetti dinner with pinto beans on the side. When I say the catfish was the best I've ever had, except my grandma's. It actually tasted like hers. The spaghetti was perfect and pinto beans out of this world!! And the portions are a nice size and you get beyond your money's worth!

Banana pudding was heaven-sent, it left me speechlessly moaning for more, just like the sweet potatoes. Best sweet potatoes I've ever had. They were sweet and buttery with a hint of spice. The Jack Salmon sandwich was also very delicious. Well-seasoned, flakey and cooked perfectly. The ribs were tender and flavorful. The Mac and cheese wasn't for me, I wasn't a fan. The cornbread and pinto beans were incredible. I've never tasted so much seasoning in beans before like I did when I smashed these pinto beans. Altogether, this was the best soul food I've ever had and portion sizes were on point. I can't wait to try the fried chicken and peach cobbler.

Every thing was delicious and prepared with love.. the chicken was tender and the gravy was well seasoned..my favorite is the green beans with smoked turkey they always make my heart smile.. I'm a customer for LIFE!!!

The food was beliefdelicious beyond belief! I  ordered the Catfish and Spaghetti and I had macaroni and cheese, sweet potatos and greens. Every single thing was absoltely delicious! The Catifh was a big piece fried and seasoned perfectly! The food was amazing!!

First time ordering and the food was excellent. Ribeye Sandwich was tender and seasoned, greens had great flavor. The Mac n Mac and Cheese was cheesing! I especially liked that the food was good and how and tightly packaged and sealed for delivery.
