Possibly the best tasting food I've ever had- not "Indian" food, food.
That said the portion size relative to the cost is appallingly small. I got a Kathi roll ($14) and cauliflower pakoras ($12) for a total of $26 before taxes and fees. I've had amazing kathi rolls in NYC and Philly for $6-$7, so I just assumed these would be bigger since they're twice the price and those cities are comparable to the DC food scene. The one I had from Bindaas turned out to be even smaller.
I personally don't have a problem paying more for food in a restaurant when there's service being provided and you have the ability to easily order more. But I'm still hungry after spending $26 on a takeout order when I usually don't even spend half as much.

I was surprised at how good this meal was! The dal makhani was more flavorful and had more of a spice kick than I am used to for this dish, but it really added something to the food beyond lentil and cream. The basmati rice was fragrant and well cooked. Will order again!

So good that I've bought food from here multiple nights in a row. I love that Bindaas offers Indian specialties that aren't found in the typical Indian restaurant. Their elevated street-food style cuisine is fresh, prepared with care, and delicious. I was impressed by how good the gol gappe were, especially since we'd ordered take out. Watch out-- most dishes have some heat. But it was enhancing and not overwhelming. 5 stars for Bindaas.

The Chicken Biryani with cucumber raita was ok, I am not sure if I would personally get it again as I have had chicken briyani from other locations for the same price and it brought more food with it. The taste is also ok it is satisfying but it seems to be missing something.

Dal makhani was fantastic as there was generous cream added, however not a single piece of paneer in the Palak Paneer.
