obsessed with their vegan donuts are you kidding!! all of them were so good and fluffy, wouldn't be able to tell the difference between these and non vegan donuts. Great value for the size of donuts, have enough to last for a while in the freezer. Would definitely order again!

I order from Blackbird once a year or so. And every time I do, I'm always reminded of how staggeringly mediocre and overpriced the donuts are. At ~$4.50, over 3 times the price of Dunkin's $1.29. Wegmans donuts are better than Dunkin and cost even less. The sweeter flavors such as the toffee frosted are not bad at Blackbird, but honestly not 3 times better than a maple frosted at Dunkin. Sure, it tastes a little more homemade, but Blackbird just never seems like a good value.
You might be lured by the idea of "luxury" donuts like I am. If they were the best donuts I'd ever had, then yes maybe they would be worth it. But to be this mediocre and also overpriced it's a shame.
If you do go into the restaurant they have friendly staff so that's a plus. Gave two stars instead of one for that.

coffee cold! not full once again! if you're going to charge 8.50 for a coffee?! you should fill it! bitter too

We ordered a BUILD YOUR OWN BOX | half dozen or more and tried one of each flavor. While the flavor is DELICIOUS, the donuts were a bit too dense for our taste. The dough had a consistency more like bread than a lighter donut dough. If that's the donut dough you like, you will not go wrong with this shop!
