this is the first time I've eaten at this place. the food arrived hot, and the calzone with the ground beef and ricotta cheese was delicious! I can't recall having a calzone with ricotta in it before. I definitely will order from Brooklyn calzones again.

We normally really enjoy Brooklyn Calzones, but this time we really were disappointed. While the food arrived piping hot, the pastry of the calzone was flat and thin, lacking and lift, almost as if it was using yesterday's dough. The filling was also soupy, as if the mushrooms had not been drained. The texture of the calzone was almost rubbery because of the lack of rising of the crust during cooking. Since we've enjoyed Brooklyn Calzones before, we would probably order again, but might easily be suede to order from another restaurant that has a better reputation for consistency of quality. Overall, I'd only give it three of five stars for this time, down from 5/5 in previous orders.
