The mashed potatoes were excellent but the chicken was kind of bland and dry, the breading lacking the juicy crispiness I typically get from Brown's Chicken. It is hit & miss lately. Sometimes it's fantastic, just not this time. Might try their pasta dishes next time.

I've ordered before and had great food, but this time the chicken thighs looked like they had been sitting a long time and started looking blackish as of under a head lamp for a long period. okra was good as usual

Leg and thigh meal with baked beans was just gross. Weird taste that was a spice not typically on fried chicken. To be clear, the weirdness was not spoiled food or otherwise unsafe to eat just wasnt to my liking at all. I am normally a fan of spicy chicken, like Popeyes, and I am from the deep south. Maybe I should have not tried fried chicken from Chicago.

I thought there were no more Brown's Chicken & Pastas anywhere anymore. So I was pleasantly surprised to see an alternative to KFC for when I want a different (not better or worse just different) fried chicken.
